Well, anyway, I almost forgot what I wanted to write about. Oh yes. I don't suppose that I could tell you that I have a successful home business and you will believe me. As ignorant as I am about the terminology used by successful entrepreneurs, and I don't need a list, an opt-in list or any kind of list to be successful. You see, I don't use leads and I don't buy leads. I have no use for leads or a list of leads or an opt-in list of whatever.

I was very fortunate to find a company that offers cooperative marketing. In a nutshell, cooperative marketing means that I buy my downline or another words, I buy my customers. If I would like to get a bigger check each month, I just buy more customers. It's really quite simple and just in case you are wondering, yes, you can join this home business too.

There's really quite a lot of us that just don't use the usual marketing lingo anymore and we are quite happy to do without it. Once we learned about "cooperative marketing", all those obsolete terms left our vocabulary.

I don't get it. Everyone wants either a home based business or some kind of work from home project. I must admit, I never had that desire. When I became of age to join the work force. I had one dream and one dream only. I wanted to work for an airline and travel and that's exactly what I did. I actually went to every country that I dream't of going to and more.

I went to work for American Airlines in New York City after graduating from high school. It never occurred to me to work from home. I loved going to work even with the long commute from New Jersey to New York. We eventually moved to the City and we lived very close to the(useless) UN building. It was great because I could actually walk to and from work. On rainy days you could take short cuts through buildings and never get wet! Our office was in the Chysler Building and I worked with a great bunch of people. None of us ever thought of a work from home business.

When I first started with A.A. it was all manuel work (write, write and write)... Then we went computer and we had all the over-time we wanted. Most of us worked till we dropped and then it was time to take a trip and rest. We got paid every other week and on pay day it was party day. We use to meet at the Saddle Bar (all airline people went there) and from there we went to any number of places; one was a Greek place full of belly dancers. Did we think of working from home? Gosh NO!

Of course that all started in 1962 and hear we are today. I'm retired now and do work from home. I joined Its Good Business and believe me it IS just that. GOOD BUSINESS... We purchase customers from our Parent Company, We don't buy or work with leads as is the tradition with MLM companies. We don't call people, we don't hold meet- ing, we don't have parties etc. To make our business grow - we buy more customers. So you had out with the boss today. The situation is really becoming strained and you are recklessly looking at the Internet to save you. This is a shame because you are not in the correct frame of mind to seriously be considering a home business. You're on the rebound from a bad situation and most likely will foolishly just jump on the first program you run across. So this will be the first of many mistakes you are going to encounter when starting your home business. It makes more sense to just cool off a bit and take the step much more seriously.

Probably in your hast, you will join a program and start your home business without thoroughly researching the company or product. To be successful, it's imperative that you are very familiar with the company and product. If you cannot speak intelligently about either, your business could be doomed.

Now you have decided to join a Multi-Level-Marketing (MLM) company. You're not aware that a true MLM is self-limiting in its growth by its own design. You just heard about the "up" side of the program as the presentation never mentioned the failure rate. The number one reason people fail in MLM is not because the company and/or products are bad. They fail because they run out of people to talk to about the business. They run out of leads.

LEADS - Another step to failure. Yes, doing business with leads is frustrating at best. Cold calling, hang-ups, abusive language. Perhaps this explains why a minimuum of 995 out of every 1,000 Multi-Level-Level marketers will LOSE money in MLM. You should research for a company that "sells" customers not leads.

Buying customers or "cooperative marketing" is not a very common practice with most marketing companies. As a matter of fact, I can only think of one company that offers such a unique program. Well, I must confess...I am one of the few who has had and is having success working from home on the Internet. I started many years ago and certainly had my failures. But, I plugged away at it. I joined so many businesses, I can't come close to naming them all.

I own "the Mall of the World" website, "free Web Sites of the Month" website and more. Just to give you an idea of what I have tried in the past. Go ahead and visit the Mall of the World, you'll find some great bargains and sometimes "free" shipping. If you need some Internet education, the Web Sites of the Month has some fantastic values and informational ebooks. I'm not trying to be pushy or anything, just passing on some good information.

Then I found it, the one, the only one and the money started to roll in. I'm having so much fun, I don't want to go anywhere. I just want to watch my success and home business grow. I buy customers and then I buy more customers and my work from home business is booming.

I started to spend some of this money to complete my home office. Now I have everything including a refrigerator for my favorite milkshakes. The milkshakes are one of the many healthy products I purchase through my work from home business. I find this a very healthy way to consume my lunch and keep my weight and diet checked. I've been disabled since 1999 and use a wheelchair, therefor, the healthy products I purchase from my parent company are just the right thing for me.

There's something else I didn't mention. My work from home business has been around for 9 years, so there's no need to feel leary about any risks. With this business I buy my customers from the parent company. THIS CAN'T BE BEAT! When I want my business to grow - I buy more customers. I don't buy leads, I make NO phone calls, I don't do parties, I don't e-mail people. As a matter of fact - I DON'T DO MUCH!

It seems that everyone has a strange notion that millions can be made on the Internet. All you have to do is simply work a home business and supposedly there are plenty to choose from. While there may be an ample amount of businesses and/or programs to choose from, included in that are all the scams that people get caught up in. As a matter of fact, maybe there are too many opportunities to make a informed decision.

The misconception that any and all can become instant millionaires is just dangerous and misleading information. There are tons of gullible people on the Internet and they are all jumping on the band wagon without much thought. If they don't make money fast enough, it's easy just to just join another program. No thought is wasted on researching the opportunity and/or business. The promise of riches made by the unscrupulous opportunities are very unfortunate, but if you take the time to think about it, if it were all true, wouldn't we all be rich?

The Internet inexperienced also has a lot to do with the online failures. Usually they are the same people that I call gullible. It's really a terrible combination and again, these are the prey of the scams and shady programs. These people usually start out with the thought of a home business, but have absolutely no idea where to begin. Nothing is taken very seriously there's no focus and soon there's failure.

The point here is to take your home business seriously and give it all you have. In the beginning it will take time, it will take money, it will take dedication and a lot of hard work. As long as you are sure you chose the right business and did extensive research, then everything in the end will be well worth all the effort you put into it. Don't let little set backs get you down, keep plugging!

When I first started working my home based business I was full of enthusiasm. I chased off in many directions and joined numerous different home based business opportunities at the same time. I didn't really focus my efforts on any one program. Well I'm sure you know the results --- yes I failed at all of them. This experience was a horrible and expensive lesson to learn.

I'd like to say that I took the failure lightly, but that wasn't the case. So in order to overcome the emotional issues that I faced, I joined just one home based business and gave it everything I had. But again I made a mistake, I did not fully research the company and/or program and sure enough, they went belly-up. One would think at this point I would give up.

They say that practice makes perfect, so I decided to try another home-based business. I still had some enthusiasm, I did the research and I questioned my qualities. I assured myself that I was going to be successful with my next venture. This time I made even more mistakes. I did not take breaks or just leave my home office for a change of pace. I never went for a walk anymore, I totally ignored my dog and I barely took a break for a decent meal. I snacked and drank sugar flavored drinks all day while staring at the computer screen. Soon I was experiencing a feeling of isolation.

As I look back, this was not a very healthy enviorment. There were many periods of doubts...did I pick the successful opportunity? am I developing my business correctly? am I using effective advertising methods? and the big question - when will I start to see some money? On top of everything else, I was gaining weight at a rapid pace. I just knew that I had to get a grip on things.

Rather than become totally discouraged and just give up, I did a Google search for a home based business for weight loss. I soon found the Apple Patch Diet. This diet involves wearing a patch similar to a nicotine patch. The patch is suppose to increase your metabolism and decrease your appetite while taking several herbal supplements during the day. There is no calorie counting and no restricted foods. Many people told me that they actually did lose weight.

The Apple Patch diet.net site says that Apple Patch will handle all advertising responsibilities for the new sites they create, and that people will never be responsible for processing sales or holding inventory, but it seems like most people who have tried to go this route have simply had to kiss their money goodbye. Seems that I struck out again!

The Apple Patch diet business opportunity definitely seems to be a little shady, but is there anything to the diet itself? It’s nonsense, say doctors. Some dieters on the Apple Patch diet forum, however, claim to be losing weight on the plan. Whether their weight loss is down to the patch, or just the result of normal diet and exercise is unclear. Tread carefully through this particular Apple Patch; you may only end up lighter in the wallet when it is all said and done.

Today there are many, young, middle aged and old finding themselves displaced. They have been laid off for an extended period of time or lost their jobs completely. These are tough times for them because they are, in most cases too old and in some cases not educated or they lack experience. Searching for a new career is not an easy task for these individuals.

Many of these individuals are turning to the Internet for a home business to generate an income. Probably some of these displaced people will fail, but many will prosper because they'll do the required research. For example:

1.) Research a successful company. Did you ever notice? It sort of rubs off, a successful company, makes you successful. A successful company is likely to have quality products and services. More than likely they will have a reliable support system, will provide training material and tools for effective advertising.

2.) Do you have the required investment that is needed? Will there be enough left for an effective advertising campaign?

3.) Meet other members of the program who are successful with a home business, ask them questions and join their forums. Always question.

4.) Be flexible but avoid being attracted to every program and/or company you encounter. There'll be plenty of time to add other programs to your home business as you become more experienced.

5.) As with everything else in life, the Internet has many scams. Do your absolute best to avoid these unscrupulous business. There are a lot of resources you can use to check out companies, so be sure you use them. They're "free" to use, so why not?

If you do not properly research a work at home opportunity before you take the plunge, you could easily find yourself right back at the work place. I'm not saying this to scare anyone (or maybe I am), but it is a proven fact. Many prospective work at home hopefuls, did not take this timely advice and ended up losing their shirts and had to return to the hum drum of working for someone else. So it would be a good idea to take your time and do it right.

Do you have the Internet experience to conduct a business? Can you create a top notch web site to promote sales? Can you write articles that will create interest? Do you know how to advertise effectively? Do you have the time that is needed to get a work at home business up and running? Do you have the capital that is required?

There are many reasons why people would like to work at home, such as: a.) Make a few extra dollars a week for extra pocket money. b.) Develop a thriving and profitable work at home business. c.) A Mom wanting to make a modest second income for the family from home. d.) Handicap and must work at home and the list goes on.
